I love my life because it gave me you. I love you because you are my life.
Our Story
In today's culture love is illustrated to the masses through the romantic comedies on the big screens and fantasized about after reading Nicolas Spark novels and 50 Shades of Smut (I mean Grey). From online dating websites like Tinder to reality TV shows like The Bachelor, where 20+ women are fighting for the attention of ONE man, our perceptions of what we think "love" is are flawed.
Lucky for Chad and Vanessa, their story began before all of the reality show hoopla invaded our TV screens. It's their story that should be shared with the masses and showcase what true love really is.
It was the summer of 2004 when Chad, an usher for a wedding that Vanessa was attending, escorted the radiant brunette down the aisle to her seat for the ceremony at the St. Bridget Catholic Church in Victor. His "charming" demeanor and "dashing" good looks (we can only assume;) was all it took to swoon this small town gal. Little did these two know they would be walking down the exact same aisle 10 years later.
The two began seeing each other quite frequently at the end of Vanessa's senior year of high school and became "Facebook Official" (its only "official" if its on Facebook) the summer before her Freshman year of college. They dated off and on over the next few years and their relationship ultimately grew stronger because of it. The years go by and through all the highs and lows and miles of separation from different cities to different states, even different countries, these two "babes" gravitated back to each other once again.
Now a decade has passed and on July 12, 2014 hundreds of Chad and Vanessa's friends and family will gather in that VERY same church and watch them walk down that VERY same aisle they met on, only this time they will be walking hand and hand as husband and wife.
While the reality shows and celebrity marriages will continue to flounder and flop. Here in Iowa, miles from the fake world of entertainment true love can be found and succeed. BUT as some do say….”if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.” First there was Brangelina, then Bennifer and Kimye, I now proudly present to you the newest “celebrity couple” -- Chanessa, who will surely defy all odds and spend decades together in a blissful marriage. May your lives be blessed with years of happiness, love and zero paparazzi ;)
Love you both!
